Hook Norton Swift Walk

Our Swift Walk on Saturday 15th June in Hook Norton was a very informative evening. Despite concerns that the earlier rain might make the swifts more elusive, we soon spotted a few. Our guide, Chris Mason from Cherwell Swifts Conservation Project imparted his knowledge, giving us a good insight into the life of a swift, including how they breed, migrate, and feed. He also explained what we can do to help them. Following the walk, several attendees decided to place a swift nest box on their house, a great help for these endangered birds. If you are interested in placing a nest box on your house, please drop us an email and we will put you Photo Credit: Abby Eaton/Swift Conservation in contact with Chris who will advise you.
